Refund & Returns Policy
Effective date: 12 August 2025
This policy explains how returns, exchanges, and refunds work for hardware and services purchased from Voipshop (Pty) Ltd (VoIP Shop). Your statutory rights under the Consumer Protection Act (CPA) are not affected.
1. Change‑of‑mind returns (hardware)
- Within 7 days of delivery you may return unused hardware in original, unopened packaging for a refund.
- If packaging is opened or the item shows signs of use, we may deduct a reasonable amount for use or restoration costs as permitted by the CPA.
2. Faulty or defective goods
- If hardware is defective within 6 months of delivery, you may choose a repair, replacement, or refund subject to supplier assessment.
- Damage caused by misuse, unauthorised modification, lightning/power events, or wear‑and‑tear is not covered.
3. Services and subscriptions
- Monthly PBX/VoIP service fees are non‑refundable once the billing period has started. You can cancel for the next billing cycle by giving notice as per the Terms of Service.
- Porting fees and once‑off activation/installation fees are non‑refundable once work has commenced or requests are submitted.
- Prepaid calling credit, if offered, is non‑refundable once applied to your account unless required by law.
4. Return process
- Email sales@voipshop.co.za with your order number, item(s), and reason for return. We’ll issue an RMA and instructions.
- Pack the item securely. You are responsible for return shipping unless the item was delivered faulty or in error.
- After inspection, approved refunds are processed to the original payment method within 7–10 business days.
5. Non‑returnable items
- Software licenses, downloadable items, activated SIMs/eSIMs, bespoke configuration, and consumables once opened.
